Hecate. You'll like her better in the maiden and mother phases.

Picture
Hecate is triple goddess. In the new moon stage she a beautiful maiden that will be one of the most kindest people you will have met. In the full moon stage she is a mother who you can go to for help and TLC(tender love and care), but beware
, when you go to her in her crone stage, she can be a real pain in the B.U.T.T. She can make you wish you've never been born and a wish that you have desired.

This Greek goddess has many values like her torch. The torch represents some thing like bad times she can see  light in her cauldron.Another thing that is a value to her is graveyards. Graveyards are value to when you look for her for her guidance, you can find her in the one place people hate going to. You can find her in any of the near graveyards that you seek. Her cauldron is almost one of the last values to this exotic goddess, but there is at two more. The cauldron is very important to her ,because what else is there to use back then to bubble and boil with. Nothing else than her cauldron, because when there are dark times in Greece, she can look to her cauldron and find a light to cheer her up. The last value she has to her is the crossroads, because at a critical turning point, she can be cruel to the people who have brought terror to their life and come to ask her for help when it was you who put this in your life, but that only happens here and there.

Hecate can be found in some Greek stories, but here is one of them I was able to find. She can be found in the story where the poor mother Demeter looking for her young daughter Persephone who has been abducted by the lord the underworld with just a pomegranate to waste. His name is Hades. Demeter doesn't know who has taken the poor girl, so she goes to Hecate for help. Hecate is the goddess of the under world in her crone stage or even in her other moon stages. She could suspect any one in the underworld for the abduction of Persephone. Finally, Hecate found out who it was and took care of it immediately, but till Hecate could find her Demeter had to visit her once a quarter of  each year, but since Demeter is the goddess of weather or what ever since I don't have here for a goddess, there is winter when she visits her daughter.

Hecate was associated with many Greeks, but not that much you would say. Since she is the goddess of many things, she is the goddess of the underworld and since she is, she knows everyone down there like Hades,Cronus,Charon,Cerberus,Erinyes,Hypnus etc.
The reason she knows all these people is, because she is an underworld goddess. Everyone down there knows here and she knows everyone down there as well. She also knows Persephone help Demeter from the time when Demeter asked for Hecates help to save her daughter from the god of the un
derworld and the one person people fear and his name is Hades. She was also was associated with the god of gods, Zeus. Zeus gave Hecate some of his powers( like she didn't have any) so she could be powerful, but only she knew that she would be more powerful than before, but when Zeus did this, his wife Hera was not pleased that her brother and husband would give powers to a women he barely knew, but Zeus didn't mind at all.

Hecate had many powers than any god or goddess except the all mighty god Zeus or maybe not. She as a witch with powerful magic, she can grant any mortal their wish that they desire or the wish that they have never been born. She can also bubble and boil with her cauldron making some of the most magical poisons and even stews that are edible for your information. Since she is the goddess of the underworld she controls some of the things that is going on down there. This really isn't a power but, this is something you should know about her. She teaches us an important lesson. The lesson she teaches is the the feminine should be valued for itself, but not, because of it brings sexuality or power, but because deep within it there is eternal wisdom. The last thing that is special about her is that she is a higher priestess, the keeper of mysteries, but she is not the priestess who seeks higher knowledge, but a high priestess who has found it and imports to others.

Hecate has many tools and symbols to her name. She has a torch, a key, a knife, may be holding a rope, and a pomegranate. The torch illuminates the darkness, as the Greeks secured Hecate in her role as the bringer of wisdom. The key represents her role as a gatekeeper, being one who can open doors to sacred knowledge. The Orphic Hymns list her as the "keybearing Queen of the entire Cosmos." The knife shows her role as midwife cutting the umbilical cord( possibly symbolized by her trusty rope that she has), as well as severing the link between the body and the spirit of death. The rope is the umbilical when the knife takes the role as midwife cutting it. The final symbol/tool is the pomegranate which represents what the Greek people see as the fruit of the underworld, and it was used as a love gift between the Greek men and women. This may be because a pomegranate was eaten by the poor blinded Persephone, binding her to the underworld and to Hades the God of the underworld.

The facts you can gather about this weird goddess are:
*What kind of Goddess she is?
*How did she become so powerful?

*Who is in her family?
* What powers does she have?
*What people did she know?
*Was she in love with anybody? No?
*Did anybody love her? No.
*Was she a titan? Yes.
*Did she have pets?Yes.

Hecate has been associated with a couple places in her time. One of the places She was with is a graveyard and a graveyard is a place you will find her in her crone phase. She also loves haunting them so when mortals come by they won't even see her coming for a scare to share with those who least expect it. Another place where she was associated with was the nearest cross road where you could also find her in her crone stage, but the freaky thing is, she likes to haunt there to. When the mortals come by she gives them a scare as well as when you go to her graveyard at night to.

Hecate had accomplishments that she had finished a long time ago, but right at this very moment I will tell you what she did. First she accomplished getting more power from the god of gods and his name is Zeus(like you didn't know that already)and when she did she pretended that she didn't have any powers left so Zeus would give her half of his magic so she can have full power. Another accomplishment is haunting any one who comes near her crossroad or graveyard. The last accomplishment is  being the queen of witches. Since Hecate is so powerful, she is the queen of witches.

Hecate in modern day has so many allusions  to her name. The first  one I found was that her name is in a software company  called  Hecate  software. Another allusion she has is she is a Chines character named Hecate which was a popular  TV show in China. The next thing is that there is a heavy Metal band named after her and they are called Hecate Enthroned and they travel all over the world, but they are not that popular. Another allusion is that there is a gun named PGM Hecate 2 which was used in the civil war a lot and it is so big! The next modern day allusion is she is in a lot of plays by Shake Speare. One of the plays is called Macbeth where she is a witch who loves to boil and bubble poisons in her cauldron, but you don't want to get on her nerves. The last thing is there is so many web sites about her and there is some on down at the bottom of the page.
